Mr Vincent Tang

Professional Biography

Mr. Vincent Tang is a Consultant Urological and Robotic surgeon based at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, he is also a Consultant at Tameside, Macclesfield and Leighton Hospitals. He is trained in general urology and sub-specialised in pelvic oncology (Prostate and Bladder cancer) and robotic surgery. Vincent is able to offer general urology as well as complex urological cancer management, particularly using robotic technique.

He trained in London, Manchester and Australia. He completed his specialist Urological surgery training in the North West Deanery of England and developed his urological oncology expertise in open & minimal invasive surgical skills (Laparoscopic and Robotic), by training in some of the world’s most renowned and high volume urology cancer centers in the UK including The Christie Hospital and Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and received his Certificate of Completion of Training in Urology in the UK.

Vincent further developed his Robotic surgery skills with a dedicated da Vinci robotic surgery Fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre), Melbourne, Australia. He also spent time in Belgium and completed the European Robotic Urology Section (ERUS) certified Robotic Radical Prostatectomy curriculum. He subsequently practiced as a Urologist at The Canberra Hospital, Australia, where he provided general urology and complex urological cancer surgical service.

He has won multiple awards including the Ethicon Foundation travelling fund, The Urology Foundation clinical visit fund and Prostate Cancer UK education bursary.

Vincent is active in academic research and has over 50 publications and presentations (peer reviewed journals, book chapters, conferences presentations). He is also a journal reviewer for a number of international Urology journals.

Vincent enjoys cycling and spending time with his family. He is a dedicated professional and cares for his patients.
